Baluchi Afghan handwoven rug, approximately 7' x 3'8", dating from the early 20th Century. This rug with compartmentalised field of serrated guls and latch hook medallions, decorated with vertical indigo bands, framed by multiple borders. A hand knotted and supple rug, with soft pile, selvages and fringes to both ends. Wool pile and foundations.
A charming old rug, full of character and ready to use.

ConditionPlease see the pictures for details of the items condition. - This rug is in fairly reasonable condition, commensurate with its age. Some losses and fraying to the ends and sides. Some wear to the pile. Good even colour. Vacuumed, deodorised, and treated for moth prevention. Ready for use. - As with all vintage & antique furniture there will be signs of use, marks, wear & tear, etc.Come and view any piece in my warehouse near Harrogate.
