Item Details
A genuine late 19th-century Persian Mir Seraband rug, handwoven with a wool pile on cotton foundations. The field is richly decorated with the classic boteh motif, framed by spandrels and enclosed within repeating borders – a timeless and highly collectible design.
This is a well-loved piece with heavy age-related wear, giving it a beautifully timeworn look that only comes with more than a century of use. Its subdued palette, irregular charm, and authentic patina make it an ideal choice for decorators, collectors, or anyone looking for a rug with real history and character. Despite its age and wear, it remains in a good, usable condition with a solid handle and regular shape.
147.5cm (58") long including fringes, 104.5cm (41") wide
Date of manufacture
Late 19th Century
Original antique condition with heavy wear to the pile. Signs of age and use throughout, but stable, usable, and full of decorative appeal.
A wonderful antique rug that will add warmth, character, and a sense of history to any interior.
