A George III period, Chippendale style, serpentine fronted, mahogany console / fold-over games or card table, dating from the late c.18th. This quality original table features an attractively figured flame mahogany top with moulded edge. The top folds out to reveal a squared top with tooled border green baize, serpentine shaped edges, supported by a single gateleg rear leg. The frieze with further attractive figuring. The table is raised on fine tapering square legs with spade feet. An attractive and original high quality table. Well presented, in very good condition. Cleaned and wax polished, and very much ready for use. Dimensions: This table measures approximately 75.5 cm (29.75") tall, 91 cm (35.75") wide, 45.25 cm (18.875") deep unfolded, and 90.5 cm (35.625") folded out across the top. Condition: Please see the pictures for details of the items condition. - This table is in a very good condition, commensurate with its age, and is structurally sound and sturdy. All original other than a small repair to the top of the left rear leg. Odd minor marks and blemishes, in keeping with age and use. Otherwise, no obvious signs of damage or repair. No loose joints. Attractive original colour, with pleasing original patina throughout. Good wax polish finish. Sensitively cleaned and waxed, and now very much ready for use. - As with all vintage & antique furniture there will be signs of use, marks, wear & tear, etc.
