C1920s Oak Leather Upholstered Swivel Adjustable Desk Armchair

A 1920's, height adjustable, swivel, oak framed and leather upholstered desk armchair. This solid oak framed and well figured armchair features a continuous arm rail with short curved back rest, over pierced back splat. The upholstered burgundy coloured leather hide seat is trimmed with brass tacks. The seat is supported by the height adjustable, tilting and swivelling, patented mechanism. From which protrudes four legs on iron castors. The mechanism adjusts for height by way of a wheel, and the tilt springs tighten by way of a wheel to restrict the level of incline, The chair freely swivels on the mechanism. In good condition, reupholstered, serviced, cleaned and waxed, all working and ready for use. Dimensions: This chair is adjustable. When the height measures approximately 84 cm (33") tall the seat height is approximately 48 cm (19"), and the arm height 73 cm (28.75"). The seat height can then be adjusted up 51 cm (0.25") and down to 44.5 cm (17.5"), and overall and arm heights adjust accordingly. The chair width is approximately 61 cm (24") at the widest point on the arms. The seat width is 47.25 cm (18.75") between the arms, and 46 cm (18") deep from the front edge to the back upright. The base has an approximate diameter of 66.5 cm (24.25"). Condition: Please see the pictures for details of the items condition. - This chair is in a very good overall condition. There are some marks and blemishes on the frame. The seat has been reupholstered, in hand-dyed leather hide, in the traditional method. The mechanism has been fully serviced and works well, with all aspects functioning. The chair has been cleaned and waxed and is very much ready for use. - As with all vintage & antique furniture there will be signs of use, marks, wear & tear, etc.
