A Chinese, elm kang table, dating from the early c.20th. Also known as a low, opium or coffee table, kang tables are multifunctional and can even be used as bedsides or stands.
This kang table features a beautifully figured solid Chinese elm oblong shaped top. Shaped apron, raised on substantial supports with inverted feet with scrolled carvings.

ConditionPlease see the pictures for details of the items condition. This table is in a good and condition, commensurate with its age, and is structurally sound and sturdy. No loose joints. Some marks and blemishes in keeping with age use. Sensitively cleaned and waxed, and now very much ready for use. As with all vintage & antique furniture there will be signs of use, marks, wear & tear, etc.
