An Elizabethan revival oak refectory, dating from the late c.19th, Victorian period. Constructed entirely in solid English oak, this table with thick plank top completed with bread board ends. Raised on base with rose motive carved frieze, bulbous cup and lid carved supports, with block feet, all adjoined by oblong profile H-stretcher.
A handsome and very well proportioned table, extremely heavy, made from solid oak exclusively. Restored, cleaned and waxed, and very well presented.
Comfortably seating 6, maybe a couple more at a push.

Please see the pictures for details of the items condition. - This table is in a good condition, commensurate with its age, and is structurally very sound and sturdy. There are some marks and blemishes, namely to the top, in keeping with use. No loose joints. Been restored, some fills to natural aged splits and separation of timbers. Well presented, with good dark colour, attractive patina and pleasing polish. Cleaned and waxed, and ready for use. - As with all vintage & antique furniture there will be signs of use, marks, wear & tear, etc.
