Kordi Jajim Persiann tribal kilim flat weave rug, approximately 9'9" x 5'10", Circa 1930. This hand-woven tribal rug was constructed on using the technique (Jajim, or Cicim) of sewing panels or strips together, due to typically smaller nomadic looms limiting the width of production. This rug has a field of polychrome geometric bands with pile bands towards both ends, finished with fringes. Multi-coloured tuffed spots along the bands. Wool construction.

ConditionPlease see the pictures for details of the items condition. - This rug is in an overall reasonable condition, commensurate with its age. There are a couple of repairs of restitching to the seams connect ting the panels. Losses to one edge, which has been stitched. A little fraying to the fringed ends. The overall shape has warped, typical with handmade nomadic pieces. Vacuumed, deodorised, and treated for moth prevention. Clean and ready for use. - As with all vintage & antique furniture there will be signs of use, marks, wear & tear, etc.
