Malayer Hamadan Persian rug, that has a deep indigo coloured Herati field centred by an ivory flowerhead octagon, enclosed by spandrels and ivory borders of stylised flowerheads. A hand knotted rug with both ends taped underneath. This rug is of a village type weave with good soft wool. This is an attractive old rug, full of charm and ready for use.

Please see the pictures for details of the items condition. - This rug is in an overall good condition, commensurate with its age. Losses of fringes, both ends have been taped underneath. Little fraying of edges. As with many village handwoven rugs their shape has warped a little. Pile good with only a little even wear. Vacuumed, deodorised, and treated for moth prevention. Clean and ready for use. - As with all vintage & antique furniture there will be signs of use, marks, wear & tear, etc.
