Antique Persian, Mazlaghan rug, approximately 6'5" x 4'2", dating from the late 19th Century. This rug has the classic lightening bolt design with red coloured field, central indigo medalion, enclosed by repeating borders. A hand knotted rug with fringes to both ends. Wool pile and foundations.
 
A charming old rug, very well used, but full of life and with more to give.
