Antique Northwest Persian rug from Hamadan region, approximately 7'1" x 3'9", dating from the late 19th Century. This rug indigo field with repeating allover design, enclosed by floral borders and guard stripes. A hand knotted pile rug, with both ends secured with underside bands stitched in. Wool pile and foundations.
An attractive and charming old rug, with pleasing aged wear, presents well and still ready for use.

Please see the pictures for details of the items condition. - This rug is in an overall reasonably good condition, commensurate with its age. Wear to the pile, mostly even, though quite low, with spots through to foundations. Losses to both ends, and secured with underside bands stitched in. Some fraying to both side edges. Good shape. Presents well. Vacuumed, deodorised, and treated for moth prevention. Clean and ready for use. - As with all vintage & antique furniture there will be signs of use, marks, wear & tear, etc.
