Pair of late 18th Century chairs, of Chippendale country design. These chairs constructed in solid fruitwood, feature a pierced splat back. Drop in upholstered seats, cover in blue patterned tapestry covers, each with signature. Raised on square chamfered legs, supported by H-stretchers.
An attractive, high quality and well presented pair of country chairs. In good condition and ready for use.

ConditionPlease see the pictures for details of the items condition. - These chairs are in a good condition commensurate with their age. Some minor marks and blemishes. One quality, old and honest repair to the front of one chairs knee, otherwise free from damage of obvious repairs. No loose joints. Good colour throughout, with good polish and pleasing aged patina. Upholstery is structurally good, and the covers in good condition. In the workshop they have been sensitively cleaned and waxed. Very serviceable and ready for use. - As with all vintage & antique furniture there will be signs of use, marks, wear & tear, etc.
