Antique Tekke Turkmen, handwoven rug, approximately 5'7" x 3'6", Circa 1920. This rug has a raspberry red coloured field with three columns of quartered tekke guls, enclosed by borders of hooked motifs. A supple, soft and silky, hand knotted rug, with kilim selvage and fringes to both ends. Wool pile and foundations.

ConditionPlease see the pictures for details of the items condition. - This rug is in a reasonable condition, commensurate with its age. There is some wear, the most point to one of the corners, with a little through the rest of the pile. Slight losses to the kilim selvages and fringes. The rug has been vacuumed, deodorised, and treated for moth prevention. It is sufficiently clean to use. - As with all vintage & antique furniture there will be signs of use, marks, wear & tear, etc.Come and view any piece in my warehouse near Harrogate.
